One of the most important roles of thyristors is to stabilize the flow.

Thyristors are widely used in automatic control, electromechanical, industrial electrical and home appliances. A thyristor is an active switching element that is normally kept in a non-pass state until it is triggered or "ignited" by a small control signal to pass it. Once it is ignited, it remains traversed. In order to cut it off, a reverse voltage can be applied between its anode and cathode or the current flowing through the thyristor can be reduced to below a certain value.

The thyristor can work under high voltage and high current conditions, and has the advantages of high withstand voltage, large capacity, small volume, etc. It is a high-power switching type semiconductor device and is widely used in electric power and electronic circuits.

The thyristor has several types of one-way, two-way, turn-off and light control. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, high efficiency, long life and convenient control. It is widely used for controlled rectification, voltage regulation and inverter. And various automatic control such as contactless switches and high-power power conversion.
