Littelfuse develops broadband protection thyristor series

Littelfuse , a global leader in circuit protection, has developed a new line of broadband protection thyristors that can be used to protect the third or driver side protection of ADSL2 and VDSL2, as well as 30MHz bandwidth VDSL2+ applications and general I/O protection. SDP Series SOT23-5 SIDACtor protection thyristors are suitable for low-capacitance overvoltage protection, eliminating the need for bias voltages and providing strong protection for the chip side of the transformer. The back-to-back configuration provides symmetric ESD protection for the data lines and can be used when there is an AC signal.


SIDACtor in SOT23-5 package The SDP series takes up very little space and is suitable for space-intensive, high-density circuit board designs. The straight-through design of the SOT23-5 package reduces board space on the printed circuit board layout, while the device features four different off-state voltage values that are compatible with a wide range of line drivers.
